TREC is tremendously excited to highlight our first social service provider’s TREC Accreditation!

On Monday, April 7,2025, Community Wraparound celebrated with their amazing staff of community mentors and case managers, some of the youth and families they mentor, along with several Learn4Life staff and students in San Diego County, some members of our TREC team, and numerous community partners.

Hosted by the Southeastern Live Well Center, a delicious meal was provided by Timmy's Place.

The energy in the room was electric! Everyone was uplifted and inspired by what Craig Beswick, Vice-President of School Development Division, Lifelong Learning Administration Corporation (LLAC) shared about Community Wraparound’s TREC Accreditation. Dana Brown, PACEs Science Statewide Facilitator, TREC, shared highlights on a PowerPoint of Community Wrapround’s staff from their anonymous Strengths and Needs Assessment and several pictures of their engagement with Learn4Life students and other youth they mentor.

Attendees were invited to watch La Lucha | Getting Schooled in America which followed five Learn4Life students in Pacoima, CA. Filmmakers, Rand Courtney and Eric Reid came from Los Angeles to surprise Robert Ontiveros, CEO, Community Wraparound with the first draft of one of their next films as they’re basing it on Community Wraparound, the history and legacy of the fifteen-years old, initially grass-roots organization, and the journey of becoming a 501(c)3.

With Community Wraparound staff, Community Mentors and Case Managers, in the majority of the Learn4Life schools in San Diego County, and all of the San Diego County Learn4Life schools TREC Accredited, the Marketing Department from LLAC, interviewed several staff members before the Accreditation with some key questions.

The celebratory and momentous TREC Accreditation was an inspirational and unforgettable evening for all. Congratulations, Community Wraparound!
