Lizette Diego

Biography

Lizette Diego is our very first Alumni on our TREC National Advisory Board. Ms. Diego graduated from the TREC Accredited San Diego Workforce Innovation High School in Linda Vista, CA.  Hired by San Diego Mission Academy, Lizette was a Student  Retention Support (SRS). Lizette joined Youth Voice San Diego in the eighth grade and learned about Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and building resilience while becoming a well-informed advocate and youth leader.  

Presenting on ACEs before local non-profits and grass-roots organizations, Ms. Diego also presented before numerous international leaders who came to San Diego through the partnership with San Diego Diplomacy Council. LIzette  went to Sacramento to meet with Legislative Aides and Assembly members. Presently, Ms. Diego is a Program Leader and Assistant Site Coordinator with ARC Experience (Primetime) and a Paraeducator Independence Facilitator in the San Diego Unified School District. Enrolled in college with an emphasis on  Criminal Justice, Ms. Diego is passionate about supporting children and youth with their well-being.
